A sheer swimsuit cover-up is intended to be worn over your chosen swimwear, including both the top and bottom. Select swimwear that you feel comfortable in, while keeping in mind that the cover-up ensures full coverage for modesty. Your overall appearance, both with and without the cover-up, will be considered. For added flair, feel free to accessorize with creative hair styling or hats to elevate this fun and casual category.

Maintain a professional appearance suitable for various office management roles, whether you're a company director, business owner, or senior office assistant. A suit and skirt business ensemble made from Polynesian print fabrics, such as ie toga, siapo, or other Polynesian-inspired materials (e.g., bamboo or raffia), offers you the opportunity to showcase your creativity and express your unique style with endless possibilities.
POLYNESIAN PRINT BUSINESS WEAR
This category allows you to showcase your creativity by designing a one-of-a-kind Polynesian-inspired outfit with a Las Vegas showgirl twist. Incorporate elements like rhinestones, feathers, fresh plants, headpieces, siapo, fine mats, coconut bark, sea foam, natural fibers, shells, and flowers, while maintaining an island-themed vibe. Contestants are encouraged to go beyond traditional attire and create something that can complement a TUIGA or any island-themed costume of your choice. Themes could include volcanoes, mountains, birds, or legendary figures—let your imagination guide you.
ISLAND SHOWGIRL COSTUME
An evening gown is a long, sophisticated garment typically worn for formal events. The length can range from mid-calf (ballerina length), just above the ankles (tea length), to full-length. Evening gloves are often paired with these gowns, which are crafted from luxurious fabrics like chiffon, velvet, satin, or organza, with silk being a popular option. Unlike ball gowns, which always feature a full skirt and fitted bodice, evening gowns come in various silhouettes, including sheath, mermaid, fit and flare, A-line, or trumpet, and may feature straps, halters, or sleeves.
For this category, contestants should choose a gown that complements the female form, incorporating embellishments such as rhinestones, sequins, liquid beads, fringe, or high-fashion elements. This is not a PULETASI category. Instead, you are encouraged to design a modern gown with a Polynesian flair, using contemporary fabrics that can incorporate traditional materials like siapo or ie toga. The goal is to create a stunning piece that reflects today’s fashion trends while adding a uniquely Polynesian touch.
